WEIGHTLOSS IRELAND
Confidential, doctor-led online medical assessment for weight management.
Doctor-Led Weight Management Assessment
In Ireland, prescription-only medicines for weight management cannot be advertised directly to the public, which can make it difficult to understand what we do.
Prescription weight-management injections are part of a class of medicines used in specific clinical circumstances following our online medical assessment. These treatments are prescribed only where clinically appropriate and form part of a doctor-led approach to weight management. All online consultations are reviewed by an Irish-registered doctor, who considers medical history and determines whether prescription treatment is appropriate.

Prescription treatment considerations
Appetite regulation
Some prescription medicines used in weight management act on appetite regulation and satiety. These treatments may be considered by a prescriber in specific clinical circumstances following medical assessment.
Metabolic pathways
Other prescription medicines act on appetite regulation alongside additional metabolic pathways involved in glucose control. These approaches may be considered based on individual medical history and clinical need.
Medical oversight
All prescription treatments are assessed and prescribed by an Irish-registered doctor following a medical consultation. Not all patients are suitable for prescription treatment. If we can't issue you a prescription you will receive a full refund.
Supporting health through medical care
Weight management is about more than appearance. It can play an essential role in overall health and well-being when addressed as part of regulated medical care.
Doctors may discuss a range of potential health considerations during a medical consultation, based on individual circumstances. Not all patients are suitable for prescription treatment, and alternative management approaches may be recommended where appropriate.

FAQ
What treatments do you prescribe?
At WeightLossInjections.ie, we support weight management through doctor-led medical consultations. In appropriate clinical circumstances, prescribers may consider prescription treatments used in weight management, including injectable treatments that act on GLP-1 pathways, as well as treatments that act on both GLP-1 and GIP pathways.
Not all treatments are suitable for everyone. Every consultation is carefully reviewed by a licensed prescriber, and if a GLP-1- or GLP-1/GIP-based treatment is not considered clinically appropriate, it will not be prescribed. Patient safety is always the priority, and prescribers will guide patients toward the most appropriate option based on individual medical assessment.
How often do I use the treatment?
Prescription treatments used in weight management are typically administered on a regular schedule, as determined by your prescriber.
Your doctor will provide guidance specific to your treatment plan, including how and when it should be used. If you have any questions about your schedule, your prescriber or pharmacist will be able to advise you.
Does WeightLossInjections.ie provide the prescription or the treatment?
We provide online medical consultations. If you are eligible, your prescriber may issue a prescription following your consultation.
Where a prescription is issued, it is sent to a licensed pharmacy for dispensing. The pharmacy will then advise on collection or delivery options, subject to their own services.
Do I need to complete a new consultation each month?
Ongoing medical oversight is an important part of treatment. Follow-up consultations are required to review progress and ensure continued suitability before any further prescriptions are considered.
These follow-up consultations are typically faster, as your information is securely stored and you can log back in.
